Hull boss Mike Phelan does have Markus Henriksen available for the fourth round tie at Ashton Gate while goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic could start.
If Snodgrass’ injury turns out to be serious Gordon Strachan could be without the talented midfielder for next month’s World Cup qualifier against England.
Snodgrass had to leave the KCOM Stadium on crutches at the weekend and wearing a protective boot.
He scored a hat-trick in Scotland’s 5-1 World Cup qualifying success against Malta but Strachan’s side have faltered since, losing earlier this month to Slovakia after being held to a 1-1 draw by Lithuania.
Scotland face Gareth Southgate’s England side at Wembley on 11th November.
Snodgrass’s injury comes on the back of his Hull and Scotland team-mate Andrew Robertson being ruled out for two months with a calf problem.
Scotland can be backed at 7/1 to qualify for the World Cup finals in Russia in 2018.
