Slaven Bilic has confirmed that Andy Carroll will be in the West Ham United squad for Saturday’s match at home to Arsenal.
The 27-year-old has made only one Premier League appearance this season due to a knee injury but is ready to return against the team against whom he scored an eight-minute hat-trick in this exact fixture last season.
“He is ready,” Bilic told whufc.com. “He’s a player that offers us something special. He is one of the main reasons we were so prolific last season and versatile and dangerous.
“Against Arsenal we were 2-0 down and it was basically him that brought us back in the game and he scored a hat-trick and had one of the best 45 minutes from last season. If you ask what he’s capable of, that’s one of the best examples.”
But Aaron Cresswell and Michail Antonio, who both recorded assists in April’s 3-3 draw, have been ruled out of the 5.30pm GMT kick-off with knocks.
