West Brom will be without Nacer Chadli for the trip to Leicester City, with the Baggies’ record signing having undergone minor knee surgery.
The 27-year-old Belgium international forward has scored four goals in seven games since making the switch from Tottenham Hotspur just before transfer deadline day.
It was important to get it done – it’s better we get it done and dealt with as quick as we can.

However, he will be absent against the Foxes, with Baggies head coach Tony Pulis hoping that Chadli will be fit to return straight after the upcoming international break.
He told reporters in his pre-match press conference: “He’s had a little trim of his cartilage, but we’re hoping he’ll be fit for Burnley. It was important to get it done – it’s better we get it done and dealt with as quick as we can.
“The op went well, so hoping he’ll be fine for Burnley. He’s been great for us and around the place.”
In the absence of Chadli, Albion are 13/5 to gain a draw at the King Power Stadium on Sunday and can be backed at 10/3 to keep a clean sheet, with a 1-0 Baggies win priced at 12/1.
Meanwhile, Pulis has also confirmed that striker Saido Berahino has been sent to France to undergo a personal training programme to try and get him back in shape to feature again for Albion.
The England Under-21 international has not featured for nearly a month for the Baggies and Pulis is hoping that a spell away from the club will do Berahino good.
He added: “Saido’s off at a fitness centre working with a fellow I worked with when I was young in management. He’s got a week to top himself up to a level and hopefully he’ll be not only sharp, but at a level to sustain it.
“We’ll assess what we’ve done and make a judgement on what Saido needs to do. We think this is the best way.”
