Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is waiting to see if Georginio Wijnaldum is able to play against Manchester United after the midfielder picked up a hamstring injury.
The former Newcastle United player was substituted after 62 minutes on Monday as Netherlands lost 1-0 to France in a World Cup qualifier.
Adam Lallana is already a doubt for the United game, with Dutch head coach Danny Blind saying of Wijnaldum: “Gini had some slight hamstring problems. He told me during half time that he needed to be subbed in the second half.”
Wijnaldum has appeared in all seven of Liverpool’s Premier League matches so far this season following his £25million summer switch.
Lallana has been forced to miss England’s World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia because of a groin problem and may not have recovered in time to face Jose Mourinho’s side at Anfield on Monday.
Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba scored the only goal on Monday as Euro 2016 runners-up France secured an impressive 1-0 victory against the Dutch.
Liverpool, 4/1 to win the Premier League title this season and 3/10 to finish in the top four, are 17/2 to beat United 2-1 on Monday.
