The 21-year-old moved to north London in the summer of 2012 after coming through Barcelona’s youth academy and has been linked with a return to the Nou Camp. Bellerin has made 86 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners, including 67 in the Premier League, as well as featuirng in eight matches for Barnsley during a loan spell at Oakwell in the 2013/14 campaign.
Bellerin’s agent, Albert Botines, has said that new contract extension discussions are going well, being quoted in The Guardian as saying: “We are speaking and are now a lot closer than we were two weeks ago.
“In a normal situation he will sign.
“Hector is very happy at Arsenal. This would be the fourth time he has signed a new contract at the club and it is clear he has made good progress.”
After being held to a 1-1 draw by Tottenham on Sunday, Arsenal are 13/2 to win the Premier League title outright.
Arsene Wenger’s side can be backed at 13/8 to win their next match against Manchester United on 19th November. The Gunners are 5/2 to keep a clean sheet at Old Trafford.
