Former Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Redondo believes that “white” captain Sergio Ramos should remain in the club for the rest of his career. Redondo believes the Spanish national can play at the highest level for a long time, even though he turned 34 last month.

Ramos’s future is shrouded in uncertainty as the player cannot agree with Real’s bosses about his new contract. His current contract expires in mid-2021, with the club offering him an extension for another season. However, he insists on signing for at least two more years.

“There is still a lot of football in Sergio. He is strong physically and very professional. He will be the one to decide when to end his career. It is logical to stay in Madrid. He needs to be connected to Real Madrid for everything, what he has achieved with the team, “Redondo told AS.

Ramos has been protecting Real Madrid’s colors since 2005. He has won a bunch of honors with the Los Blancos, including four La Liga titles and more in the Champions League.
