Mbape is close to Bernabeu. It is a matter of time for the striker to strengthen Real Madrid, according to former PSG player Jerome Rothen.

Former PSG player Jerome Rothen claims that Kilian Mbape is close to boosting Real Madrid’s ranks. The 21-year-old French golji has long been coveted by the “royal club” and Madrid mentor Zinedine Zidane is one of the great supporters of the great talent.

Mbape was very close to landing in Real Madrid in 2017, but it never came to a deal.

Instead, the fast-paced shooter has signed a PSG contract by 2022, but so far there is no indication he will extend his stay at Parc des Prince, though club management is doing his best to tie him to a new contract.

“I know from club sources that the deal for Kilian Mbape in Real Madrid is almost complete. However, given the current situation, I am sure the transfer will be postponed. There is no way for Mbape to sign a new contract with PSG. He has an agreement with the club “It’s just a matter of time for Mbape to move to Real,” Rotten told Radio Montecarlo.

Mbape has 18 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions during this campaign. Earlier this season, he faced Real Madrid in the Champions League group stage. Then PSG defeated their opponent 3-0 in France, and in the Bernabeu duel it came to 2: 2 after falling behind by 0: 2.
