Zlatan ruled out of Gunners clash

Manchester United will be without leading scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the Premier League showdown with Arsenal straight after the international break.

The 35-year-old striker netted his first goals in seven league games on Sunday, with his brace the driving force behind a dominant 3-1 victory at lowly Swansea City.

I have trust in my team-mates and the team and I know they can do fine also without me.

However, the former Sweden international also picked up a fifth yellow card of the season and faces a one-match ban which will keep him out of the clash with the Gunners at Old Trafford on Saturday 19th November.

And Ibrahimovic was a little lost when it came to explaining his latest caution, telling MUTV: “I thought in England we play rough. No? That’s what I heard. Every time I’ve tried to play rough I get a yellow card.

“I don’t know why he gave me a yellow card. Maybe I was too tired to hear why, but I sacrifice for the team and if I need to get a yellow, I will take it, I have no problems.

“I just have to accept it. I’ve got to be professional. I’m sorry I am suspended for the next game. I wish I wasn’t as it’s a game I really wanted to play in.

“But I have trust in my team-mates and the team and I know they can do fine also without me.”

Ibrahimovic is one of only two United players to have started all 11 Premier League games so far this season, the other being goalkeeper David de Gea.

He has scored six times, double the tally of the Red Devils’ second top scorer in the Premier League, Marcus Rashford.

Ibrahimovic is available at 10/1 to be the top scorer in the Premier League this season, with Chelsea ace Diego Costa priced at 11/4 and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero 6/4.
