The English football league system is divided in two levels: the Premier League is the highest level (first level) and the English Football League (EFL) is the second level.
The English Premier League is at the top of England’s football hierarchy. The league was founded in 1992 when a number of rich clubs want to increase their revenue. There are 20 teams in the Premier League. Championship is in the second level in the English football league system, but it is the highest tournament in the second level EFL. The last three teams are relegated in the First League.
