Former Chelsea and Tottenham manager Andre Vias-Boas has revealed he has no plans to work in the Premier League again. The reason is that Albion’s play style doesn’t appeal to the 42-year-old from Porto.
Vias-Boas took over the coaching post at Chelsea in the summer of 2011 and was able to hold on to it until March of the following year. In the summer of 2012, he headed Tottenham, but 18 months later, a split broke out with the Spurs.
“I will not go back there. This is the championship with the most investment, the best players and teams. But I like a championship with a different philosophy. England do not fit into this category,” the Portuguese told Radio Renascenca.
Vias-Boas has been working in the French Ligue 1 since the start of the season, where he is a mentor for Marseille. He enjoys good Velodrome results, having recorded 19 victories in 33 games in all tournaments. OM is second in the domestic league table and has a good chance of qualifying for the Champions League.
