Velev identified Loko Pd as a favorite against Levski. The Smurfs take precedence over the capital’s Cup Grand Prix, the midfielder said.

Former footballer of Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Levski Sofia and Slavia Sofia Stefan Velev commented on the 1/2-final clash between the “blue” and “railway” for the Cup of Bulgaria. He is of the opinion that the citizens of Plovdiv are in a better position to move forward.

Lokomotiv won the Cup of Bulgaria for the first time last season after defeating its teammates Botev in the final. Now the railroaders are filled with ambitions to keep the precious trophy in their club window for another year.

“I have my sympathies for Lokomotiv. Spent a wonderful year there. Have my sympathies for Levski, of course. I was there for two and a half years, in which I had both good and bad times. I have no biases. Loko is better position because it wins the Cup last season and showed some pretty good games. In Levski, the situation is very complicated because of the financial crisis, “Velev comment.

The 30-year-old midfielder is currently a player at Romanian Sepsis. He admitted that he would probably leave the club after the end of the season.
