Facts and stats ahead of Saturday’s game
GO FOURTH // The Potters will be looking to secure a fourth win over West Bromwich Albion on 24th September. Jack Peart’s doubled helped Stoke to a 2-0 Birmingham & District League victory in 1910 before a 1-0 win at the Hawthorns in 1966, courtesy of a John Ritchie strike. A 2-1 triumph then followed at the Victoria Ground in 1995 with Paul Peschisolido and Kevin Keen on the scoresheet on that occasion.
KEEP IT CLEAN // The Potters have registered eight clean sheets in the Premier League against the Baggies, more than against any other side. Only eight goals have been conceded in the 14 meetings with them since promotion in 2008.
EDGY // There have been only three goals in the last four games between Stoke and West Brom in the Potteries.
OFF THE MARK // Peter Crouch netted his first City goal on 24th September five years ago. He headed home an equaliser against Manchester United in a 1-1 draw in the Potteries, the last game the Club have played on the day.
FIGHT // Stoke will be aiming to avoid losing the first three home league fixtures of a season for the very first time.
STAR IN STRIPES // Geoff Cameron is poised for his 150th appearance for the Club after arriving from MLS side Houston Dynamo in the summer of 2012.
GEARING UP // Ramadan could make his first Premier League start against West Brom having been named the sponsors’ man of the match after the Potters’ EFL Cup tie with Hull City.
EXPERIENCE // If Lee Grant retains his place in the side he’ll make his Premier League debut at the age of 33. The goalkeeper has wracked up a total of 475 appearances so far, most of which in the Championship.
ACHIEVEMENT // If selected, Charlie Adam will be adding to his 400 club career appearances having reached the landmark during the EFL Cup tie against Hull. 126 of the figure have been made for the Potters.
