Ranieri: League form will turn

Claudio Ranieri does not have any doubts that Leicester City will arrest their worrying league form now that the Champions League is on the back burner.  The champions face Middlesbrough at the Kingpower Stadium on Saturday having won just three of their 12 games thus far in the defence of their crown.

Leicester have already lost twice as many games as they did in the whole of last season’s historic title-winning crusade and they have fallen to 14th in the table as a result.

They are just two points clear of the relegation zone and are 14/1 to drop down to the Championship this season.

Their league form is in stark contrast to European exploits where the Foxes have marked a first ever Champions League adventure with four wins from five outings to secure a place in the last-16 with one game to spare.

Leicester are 5/6 to beat Middlesbrough and Ranieri has urged his players to focus on taking the chances that come along against Aitor Karanka’s outfit. The Italian believes they have been wasteful so far this season in domestic action.

Middlesbrough are one point behind Leicester, the Teesside outfit having begun to stutter after a bright start to life in the top flight.
