Potters stars in International action…

MARKO ARNAUTOVIC helped Austria get off to a winning start in their World Cup qualifier against Georgia on Monday night.

The Potters midfielder assisted Marc Janko after a burst of pace saw him beat his marker to chip a timely ball to the back post for the forward to head home.

Austria were 2-1 winners in the Group D match, a group which will see Arnautovic come up against City teammates Joe Allen, Jonathan Walters and Glenn Whelan.

JOE ALLEN will have been the happiest of those out on international duty as Wales resumed their magnificent form which saw them reach the semi-finals of the European Championships with a 4-0 victory over Moldova.

The summer recruit scored his first international goal for the Dragons, hitting a cleared effort from the edge of the area which squirmed past the Moldovan goalkeeper.

Sam Vokes and a brace from Gareth Bale ensured the Welsh sit top of the group following the convincing win at the Cardiff City Stadium.

JONATHAN WALTERS had a goal disallowed in the Republic of Ireland’s 2-2 draw away at Serbia.

The forward was just offside after meeting Jeff Hendrick’s cross to head into the far corner, in what would have levelled matters for the boys in green.

GLENN WHELAN played the entirety of the tie as Daryl Murphy’s 80th minute header saved a deserved point for Martin O’Neil’s side.
