Messi is not a forbidden dream for Inter. This bold statement was made by former Nerazzur boss Massimo Moratti.

Inter fans may dream of seeing Argentine megastar Lionel Messi in the ranks of his favorite team, former club president Massimo Moratti believes. Moratti reminded that the contract of the Barcelona captain is expiring soon and this allows other clubs to fight for his signature.

Moratti was the basis of another major transfer to the Barcelona-Inter axis from the recent past. In 1997, he succeeded in bringing Ronaldo Nazario to Campo Know’s Giuseppe Meazza.

“I don’t think it’s a forbidden dream, even before the crisis, I don’t think it was impossible. Messi is at the end of his contract and many clubs will definitely try to attract him. I don’t know if the current situation will change anything, but I expect a lot strange things to happen by the end of the year. I even suspect that a possible deal for Lautaro Martinez with Barcelona. Even could be used as a way of attracting Messi to Inter.”Morati commented.

Messi is bound to Barca by mid-2021. It is reported in the media that the bosses of the Spanish grand are doing their best to extend the contract to the 6-time Golden Ball winner.
