BRUNO MARTINS INDI believes Stoke City have the confidence to thrive under pressure and achieve the first victory of the season tomorrow afternoon.
The Potters welcome Sunderland to the bet365 Stadium on Saturday as both sides aim to break their duck and record their first three points of the Premier League campaign.
City were rewarded for their efforts prior to the international break after securing a valuable and richly deserved point away at Manchester United.
Martins Indi is feeling buoyed after earning a point at Old Trafford and admits the mood within the squad continues to be positive.
“There is always pressure in football, but of course when you don’t get results that pressure increases,” the Dutch international said in an interview to #pottersmag.
“That has obviously been the case with the way we have drawn games in the last minute and conceding too many goals. That is in the past now though and we are above it.
“The group is now getting closer to each other and we are getting to know each other better, so this match against Sunderland is important and a good opportunity for us.
“Everything is good in the camp and we are really looking forward to the next game – even more so after our last game at Manchester United.”
