Ludogorets vs Arsenal
UEFA Champions League – Group A
Date: Tuesday, 1st November, 2016,
Kick-Off: 19:45 UK,
Venue: National Stadium Vasil Levski – Sofia.
Arsenal are enjoying their season at the moment, they will hope to continue their good form when they travel to Stadion Vasil Levski on Tuesday night to face Ludogorets.
The Gunners have been in superb form in all competitions, they have been unbeaten in the Champions League so far. They are 1st in group A with 7 points, same point as PSG who are behind them on goal difference. They need another 3 points to guarantee qualification to the knock-out round and will have their eyes set on a win on Tuesday night. Arsenal will enter this game from a 1-4 away win over Sunderland last Saturday.
Meanwhile, Ludogorets will be preparing for a revenge of Arsenal’s 6-0 brutality on them at London two weeks ago. Except for the two Champions League defeats against Arsenal and PSG, Ludogorets have picked up good results all seasons. They are a side in desperate need of a win, at least to keep their hopes up for a place in the knock-out round of one of the European competitions.
The first leg fixture at London which finished 6-0 in favour of Arsenal was the first meeting between Arsenal and Ludogorets in a UEFA branded competition.
Ludogorets have played Premier League sides for a total of 3 times including the game against Arsenal. They are so far win-less after having lost twice and drawn 1.
The first leg of this fixture is Arsenal’s only fame against a Bulgarian side.
There is no doubt that Arsenal are once again huge favourites in this Champions League game. Their form has been good and a key players are stepping up whenever required. Ludogorets were not yet able to extend their good domestic form to Champions League. And they are side that will struggle against elite European sides
However, Arsenal’s away form in Europe is a thing to worry. They have lost 3 of their last 5 away games. The game is expected to feature a lot of goals like the first leg, both teams are good in the attacking front. So this match could see at least 3 goals.
Both teams to score and Arsenal to win at 7/4 (2.75)
Total Match Goals: Over 2.5 at 1/2 (1.50).
