Ronald Koeman has urged his Everton players to be more clinical in front of goal when they welcome West Ham to Goodison Park on Sunday.
The Toffees enjoyed plenty of possession and chances last time out against Burnley but they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Turf Moor.
That was just Everton’s second defeat in nine Premier League games this season but they are now without a win in their last four.
That run means Koeman’s side have dropped out of the top four, with a gap opening up between them and sides above them.
We need to improve and be more clinical and have more productivity. Ronald Koeman
Everton are 17/20 to get back to winning ways by accounting for West Ham and Koeman is in no doubt about where they must improve.
“The last game against Burnley we were very disappointed. You know you can lose in football, but that wasn’t deserved. We need to accept it and improve,” he said.
“Overall I’m happy with the defensive organisation but I’m not happy with the offensive aspect. We need to improve and be more clinical and have more productivity.
“That’s what we need to change.”
West Ham recovered from two goals down to win 3-2 on their previous visit to Goodison Park, Dimitri Payer scoring a 90th minute winner.
That was Everton’s first Premier League loss to the Hammers in 16 games. Everton are 25/1 to beat West Ham 3-2 on this occasion.
Koeman’s outfit have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their five most recent league games. They are 7/4 to arrest that trend by shutting out West Ham.
