Henderson ready for title tilt

With more than a quarter of the campaign completed, the Reds are involved in a thrilling title race and can be backed at 10/3 to win the Premier League this season.Jordan Henderson has admitted before the Premier League clash with Watford that it has been exciting to be involved in Liverpool’s excellent start to the season.

Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Sadio Mane have been superb in the first three months of the season and Liverpool’s enterprising brand of football has won much praise.

However, Henderson said: “The main priority for us is, if we’re performing and playing the way we can, then obviously it is entertaining football, it is high-intensity and everybody is going to enjoy watching us.

“But we do it for a reason – and the reason is because that’s the best way to play football and the best way to win games for us as a team.

“Everyone is enjoying it and the lads that haven’t been playing have been just as big of a part of winning games with the training that we do. If we carry that on, then we’re going in the right direction.

“Nobody has scored more goals than us, so that just tells you the story. Everyone is chipping in with goals, it’s spread out.”

Liverpool are 3/1 to beat Watford by a two-goal margin on Sunday while Firmino is 1/1 to score at any time against the Hornets.
