Guardiola targets Barca points

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola says his side need to gain something from their trip to his former club Barcelona in the Champions League.

Having drawn 3-3 at Celtic last time out in Group C, former Barca chief Guardiola is well aware that the Citizens need to pick up points from their double-header with the Catalans, before heading to Borussia Monchengladbach and hosting the Bhoys in their last group game.

We have four games left, we have to win two.

He told reporters: “I have never thought about the next game thinking a draw would be a good result.

“Of course it is complicated – no win in Glasgow means we have to take points off Barcelona there or here and especially in Germany as well.

“We have four games left, we have to win two. We have to make six points to be in the next step. We are going to try to win the first points in the next game, that is sure.”

The Citizens, who have lost all four previous meetings with Barcelona, are 15/4 to secure a draw on Wednesday evening, with a 2-0 win for the home side priced at 9/1.

Meanwhile, Citizens goalkeeper Claudio Bravo believes that all the pressure will be on his former club when the game gets under way in the Camp Nou on Wednesday evening.

The Chile international added: “Barcelona have to win at all costs, they are playing at home. We are calm, we are looking forward to playing an attractive, important game.

“Every team has a chance. They have important players, but we have to go there with the intention to do things well.”

City and Bravo are available at 8/1 to keep a clean sheet in the Camp Nou, with Sergio Aguero available at 8/5 to score at any time.
