MARKO ARNAUTOVIC is on course for a World Cup qualification showdown with his Stoke City teammate Joe Allen.
Arnautovic has been named in the Austria squad for their qualifiers against Allen’s Wales in Vienna next Thursday and Serbia in Belgrade a few days later.
Wales boss Chris Coleman has yet to name his squad but Allen, a key figure in their run to the Semi-Finals at last summer’s European Championships, is almost certain to be involved.
The Welsh will follow up their trip to Austria with a home game against Georgia.
Meanwhile, City duo Glenn Whelan and Jon Walters have been included in the Republic of Ireland squad for back-to-back qualifiers against Georgia and Moldova.
