Swansea boss Bob Bradley is adamant he has the strike options available to fire his side away from the relegation places. The Swans have won just once in the Premier League so far this season, defeating Burnley 1-0 on the opening day, and sit 19th in the table ahead of Monday’s clash with Stoke.
Summer signings Borja Baston and Fernando Llorente are still to find their rhythm and in truth, the club have failed to sign an adequate replacement for Wilfried Bony since he left for Manchester City in January 2015.
I am hoping we have dangerous players. Bob Bradley
Ironically, Bony’s own form has deflated since his departure but he will be hoping to impress when his current club the Potters, who he joined on loan on deadline day, take on his former employers on Monday.
Bradley arrived at the Liberty Stadium earlier this month and is still working to decide who deserves a place in his starting line-up.
He has so far overseen encouraging performances in a defeat to Arsenal and a draw with Watford and will be eyeing his first win in his new role on Monday.
Despite their lack of goals, the American says he has seen enough from both Borja and Llorente to suggest they have what it takes to fire Swansea, who are 1/2 not to be relegated, away from the bottom three.
“I am hoping we have dangerous players,” Bradley said.
”I certainly am hopeful that with Fernando and Borja we have players with enough talent that we can work with them in the right way and we can turn them into big goal scorers for our team.”
Swansea are 14/5 to win on Monday, with the draw 13/5 and Stoke 21/20.
