PSG vs Caen
French Ligue 1
Date: Wednesday, 20 December 2017
Kick-Off: 19:50 UK
Venue: Parc Des Princes (Paris).
The Parisians have successfully recovered from back-to-back losses to Strasbourg and Bayern Munich and they’ll head into the last match in 2017 on the back of three consecutive wins in all competitions. Unai Emery’s men will be massive favourites to make it four on the bounce on Wednesday when they host Caen at Parc Des Princes
Neymar was particularly inspired in the 1-4 thumping of Rennes on Saturday at Roazhon Park. The Brazilian star bagged two goals and delivered the other two, while both Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe were also on target. The Parisians have thus notched as many as 11 goals during the mentioned three-win streak and we can only expect them to close the year in some fashion and net as many as they can past Caen.
Keeping their net untouched should not be an issue for Emery’s side here since the guests from Normandy have been struggling to find the back of the net as of late. Caen only managed to net a single goal in last five matches in all competitions. They could not score a single in last four games on the road, three of which saw them suffer convincing losses.
PSG vs Caen: Predictions
Anything but a commanding win for the hosts would represent a massive upset here. We’ll go with PSG to win by three or more goals at the odds of 1.65 as the top bet, while the value is in backing Neymar to end the year with another brace.
You can have the Brazilian star to bag two or more goals at the sky-high 2.90 odds here. Another decent option would be PSG to keep a clean sheet at 1.66.
