Alen Halilovic hit a last-minute winner as struggling Las Palmas snatched a 1-0 victory from their La Liga basement battle with Malaga.
The Croatian controlled on his chest and clipped home in a rare moment of quality in a dull clash between the league’s bottom two sides in Gran Canaria.
Las Palmas had the better of the chances and just did enough to earn a win that sees them draw level with 18th-placed Deportivo La Coruna on 17 points, with Malaga four points back.
Michel Macedo had their first opportunity after 41 minutes when his low shot was saved by Roberto before Jonathan Calleri fired over.
Malaga finally mustered an attempt themselves after 54 minutes but Leandro Chichizola pushed away Keko’s effort.
Las Palmas responded by breaking upfield and Oghenekaro Etebo tested Roberto from distance before later shooting over.
The game appeared to drifting towards a goalless draw when Tana jinked into the area and crossed for Calleri. His nod-down was well controlled by Halilovic and brilliantly finished.
